I took these photos last night – October 2nd, 2013.  The conditions were perfect for taking photos in the back yard.  Evening light.  Sunny, but not too warm.  The grass was freshly cut.  And of course, the dogs were ready to play.  Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll have too many more evenings like this one before winter hits.

Lately, our Labrador Hans has been taking a greater interest in playing with our Rottweiler puppy Zeus.  It was a good night to throw out the tennis balls and let the two boys race to get it.

“Go ahead kid…just try and and take the ball….”

Our Rottweiler puppy Zeus just turned 5 months old the day before these photos were taken, but he’s already about two-thirds the size of our largest Labrador Hans:
