Let’s face it – sharpening knives isn’t easy.  Using conventional means, it requires a great deal of skill and patience – both of which are in short supply in my case.

Fortunately, Spyderco has a knife sharpening system which could have easily been called “Knife Sharpener for Dummies.”  I did a video review of the product and explain what makes this system both simple and effective – check it out:

The video is recorded and can be run in full-screen mode if you click on it and go to YouTube.

Amazon.com usually has the best price on the Spyderco Sharpmaker – here’s a link (click here).

Here’s a link to the recommended accessory diamond stones for the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

Here’s a link to the also recommended Spyderco Ultra Fine stones for the Spyderco Sharpmaker.  If you really want to go the extra mile and get the sharpest possible edge with this system, you’ll need the Ultra Fine stones.
