Once again, Eclipse Window Tinting in North Cincinnati Ohio hosted the Ohio Valley Region Porsche Club of America Cruise In.  I attended last year’s cruise in, and very much enjoyed it.  Eclipse actually hosted two such Porsche cruise in events in 2025 – I was traveling when they hosted the first event earlier this year, and didn’t attend.

The Eclipse parking lot is actually a difficult spot to get good photos.  They don’t start until 11am so the light is less than ideal.  And the neighborhood is fairly industrial so getting a beautiful background in your car photos is tricky.  Which is why you’ll see fewer full body photos and more close-up shots of a different aspect of the car like the front end or the spoiler.

This year I brought my Canon R5 Mark II with my EF 35mm f1.4 (adapted) as well as my Canon R6 mark II and my RF 24-70 f2.8.  Last year I took a fairly photojournalistic approach to the photos I took, but this year I went for a more stylized and artistic approach.  Let me know what think!

When I edited these photos I really wasn’t paying attention to the camera and lens that were used – I just went through all the photos and picked the ones that I thought were the best.  It’s interesting to me that just a little more than half. We’re taken with the R6 Mark II and the RF 24-70 f2.8, And just under half were taken with the R5 Mark II and the EF 35mm f1.4.  I’ve shot with various primes that nearly every car meet up that I’ve gone to this year and forgotten just how much I enjoyed using the 24-70 f2.8.

It’s nearly October so there aren’t too many more car meet ups scheduled for 2025.  For Porsche fans, this one is not to be missed.
