During our recent trip to the San Diego area, my wife and I drove out to La Jolla for some sight seeing and a nice dinner.Ā  I did end up getting some fantastic photos of the La Jolla Cove area, though the marine layer present this time of year in the early AM and late PM in this area of CaliforniaĀ  prevented me from getting any spectacular sunsets.Ā  These photos were taken with both my Canon 7D and my Canon 5D Mark II.Ā  Click on any of the below photos to see the full-size version.

Here we are from the vantage point of our parking spot, about to walk down to the beach area:

The view from this area was stunning:

Several of the photos I took, I did in both color and black and white versions – in most cases, I just couldn’t decide which I liked better, so I’ll just post both:

As you may have seen in the above images, seals hang out in and around the La Jolla Cove area.Ā  Seal watching is a favorite activity for visitors:

I’ll have a trip report up soon in the Travel Section of LUXURY TYME detailing our most recent trip to the San Diego area.
