Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend an Ohio Valley Region Porsche Club of America  “cruise in” event sponsored by Eclipse Window Tinting in Cincinnati.  Given that this is the tail end of the car get together season, I wasn’t expecting much of an event, but I was pleasantly surprised by the impressive turn out.  Eclipse Window Tinting is a highly respected member of the Dayton-Cincinnati car community and does excellent work.  Their parking lot at their facility was perhaps less than ideal for a large get together of this nature.  Not that they did not have room for all the vehicles – it’s just that all the cars could not park in the same general area.  Somewhere parked in the front of the building and somewhere parked in the back of the building and somewhere on the side of the building.  Eclipse left their garage doors open so you could at least walk through the building to get from one parking lot to the other, which certainly helped.

I ended up bringing all three of my cameras because I really wasn’t sure how many cars would be coming and what the conditions would be.  Most of the photos I took were with my pretty standard set up:  My Canon R5 Mark II with the EF 35mm f1.4.  My 2nd camera was my R6 Mark II with the Voigtlander RF 50mm f1.0.  Both lenses had the K&F Concept combination CPL + ND filter.   I also brought along my Fujifilm X100VI and was using the K&F Concept Nano X CPL.  Most of the photos were taken with the Canons, but after a while I got tired of carrying them so I took them to the car and shot with just the X100VI.

There really was a fantastic variety of Porsche cars at the event.  But I wasn’t the only non-Porsche owner in attendance.  BMW Bros were there flying the flag:

Great event and many thanks to both Eclipse and the OVRPCA for putting on the event.  My understanding is that Eclipse hosts other events including a supercar event which I’ll definitely be looking forward to in 2025.
