Last weekend I again ventured to downtown Dayton to take some photos – I think this is fourth or fifth time this year.  I’ve mostly been shooting primes this year, but I decided to mix things up a bit and brought my Canon RF 24-70 f2.8L and my RF 15-35 f2.8L with my R5 Mark II and R6 Mark II.

The purpose of the trip was supposed to take some photos of the recently renovated Dayton Arcade:

Not having been previously to the Arcade, I really wasn’t quite sure what to expect.  At this stage of the renovation, there wasn’t much to see on the inside so I went outside and got some photos in the surrounding area.

An area resident saw my cameras and pointed out this stairway down to some of the most interesting and beautiful graffiti I’ve ever seen:

The artwork was stunning – seeing this was the highlight of the trip.

I then got some photos of some buildings I’ve not previously photographed:

I worked up quite an appetite so I stopped for breakfast at Table 33 who recently moved to the Dayton Arcade.  The steak and eggs was fantastic:

I’m pleased with the creative progress I’m making.  I’m as happy with these photos as any I’ve taken the year and I’ve definitely gained a much greater appreciation for street photography.  I look ford to doing more next year.
