This past Saturday was the final Dayton Cars & Coffee of the 2024 season.  This was a very good year for car enthusiast gatherings – lots of events in the region, and lots of dry weather.  I don’t think I missed a single Dayton Cars & Coffee event they held over the summer.  Which is unusual because normally something I have scheduled during the Summer which conflicts at some point.

For this final event I decided to just bring my FujiFilm X100VI.  I also decided to attach a K&F Concept Nano-X CPL filter to the lens to reduce reflections on the glass and metal surfaces of the cars.  it would also add some protection to the lens – when your camera has a single fixed lens you need to be extra careful.  I wanted to run a more minimalist rig because I wanted to bring my Rottweiler Athena to the event.

The X100VI continues to surprise me with just how good the photos are it produces:

Athena had a great time at the final Dayton Cars & Coffee of 2024

As usual, I had a really nice time. And I really can’t complain about the photos that I got – the morning. Light was fantastic.

Thank you to Dayton Cars & Coffee For another wonderful season.  I’m already looking forward to 2025!
